About this project
While hockey cards are loved by collectors, many designs haven't changed much over the years. This project looks at ways to make hockey cards more creative, engaging, and unique while still celebrating the players and the sport.
The Process
Instead of relying on a single photo and standard layout, the designs use layered imagery, bold team branding, and oversized signatures, nation flags and more to create a stronger visual impact. The colourful backgrounds add depth and personality, helping the card feel more like a collectible piece of artwork than a traditional trading card.
